Over the years, our most in-demand locations for internships abroad have remained in Ireland and England. Many university students are requesting English-speaking locations and looking for placements in industries that are well suited to those cities.

Through further research and with these key factors in mind, Global Experiences is pleased to announce that we are opening intern abroad programs in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Galway, Ireland! We look forward to welcoming our first participants to these cities in summer 2021.

Advice to the Graduating Class of 2020

To the class of 2020, completing your college degrees and preparing for the next step–congratulations! Earning your degree is a major milestone and you should feel extremely proud.

Given the pandemic, we understand that you are not getting to celebrate your graduation with family and friends in the way you had always planned.

While the world moves to online classes, remote work, and virtual hangouts and ceremonies, we are thinking of you, the graduating seniors, and we have some well-wishes to share!

This May marks the 70th anniversary of mental health awareness month. This year’s theme expands on #4mind4body. Humor, work-life balance, and how they relate to mental health are a few of the topics explored this year.

Since the early 90s, there has been a steady increase in young people reporting problems with mental health. Generation Z has been more open and willing to talk about their struggles with mental health. However, over 60 percent of young people report having an overwhelming sense of anxiety.

While traveling is exhilarating and life-changing, it can also exacerbate mental health issues. We want to provide all our interns with the proper knowledge and information they need to ensure mental well-being before, after, and during their program.
