Top Rated Org of 2018!

We are elated and honored to be recognized as one of GoAbroad's Top Rated Internship Organizations of 2018. This recognition means everything to us because it is 100% student driven. We love what we do, and are so happy to know our interns loved their internship program experience.

forumea

Global Experiences was pleased to be involved in the update of the Forum on Education Abroad Standards for Internships Abroad. Working with colleagues in the field to create a blueprint for success has been a valuable process. You can view the Guidelines on the Forum's website.

How We Work Together

Global Experiences' programs are designed to complement a student's academic degree program. Through Global Experiences, interns also receive our award-winning career readiness program. Interns are supported every step of the way during their program. Global Experiences' university partnerships fall into three broad categories, and we work closely with our partners to determine the right design for each institution. All programs options provide robust location support, supervision, and health and safety protocol through our experienced location staff.

Experiential

Looking for short term opportunities? We can help. With opportunities in January and May, GE can embed career-focused inclusions to add to your short-term program.

Got a good idea? We love building innovative programs that suit your needs and align with our strengths. Create a program for a cohort, or blend a course with an internship.

Add-On

Already have a semester program in place in one of our locations? Consider adding an internship during or after the semester. Options can include part-time or full-time placements.

Inclusive

Need all the bells and whistles? This works for institutions who are looking to offer all GE locations, receive all inclusions, and the highest level of support for their students.

Academic Credit Models

Academic Credit for International Internship programs is often one of the biggest obstacles to participation. Fortunately students now have many options to gain academic credit and access financial aid, just as they can with study abroad programs. We are happy to discuss the successful academic experiential education models we have developed with Universities around the world or offer students the option to add 6-12 credits through our School of Record relationship with Fairfield University in Fairfield Connecticut.

School of Record

Any student participating in a GE program may enroll in our internship course for 3 or 6 credits and receive a transcript from Fairfield University.

Home School Credit

Students receiving credit from their home institution are encouraged to share any documents and checklists for their internship with their program advisor.

Blended Credit

A student may earn credits from their home institution, and credits from GE. We'll connect with academic advisor to stay on the same page so it transfers back.

No Credit

No credit? No problem. Credit is not required and all are welcome to participate in a GE
internship without receiving academic credit.

Our Strengths are Your Strengths, too

CliftonStrengths is the foundation for every Global Experiences intern from New York City to Barcelona. All interns start with the CliftonStrengths online assessment, and then connect with a certified Gallup coach to discuss their results.

At GE we believe strongly in professional development and sharing our knowledge of the Clifton Strengths is one way we are able to give back to our partners.

Global Experiences did a great job with team building and getting people together. My favorite part of the entire experience was getting to know the other interns on the program and having a sense of community throughout the entire time we were in Dublin.

I worked with a 10-person marketing team and got a lot of responsibility handling social media marketing and managing accounts. My favorite part was feeling like an Australian and getting to know the whole city of Sydney. The whole experience was awesome. The people were great. I’m glad I did it.
