That is where your program advisor and location coordinator will become your new travel experience advisors, taking care of you from the day you join the program, to the day you head home.
Your advisor will help you prepare for what will become the most life changing experience that you may ever have, including helping you navigate through travel bookings, visa requirements, academic credit and financing questions, as well as any nerves you have about living in a new city. We will help you get to know the rest of the program group so you'll have friends as soon as you arrive on location, and get a head start on weekend travel planning.
London housing is always in a modern student residence in a single or shared room (depending on your selection) in zone 1-2, which is the center of London. All residences have a 24/7 security and on-site support services. You will have easy access to public transport, shops, and cafes.
All Global Experiences students stay in groups and you will know your fellow participants and your roommate (for shared option) before you arrive so you have friends when you land. Bedding and kitchen supplies are included with your housing, but make sure to bring your own towels!
Keep in mind that housing in London rarely has air conditioning, but there are only a few times in the year when it's needed. There are laundry facilities, often a gym and other fun amenities within many of the residences, and most buildings allow you to have overnight guests, as long as you've gotten the approval of your roommate of course. Ask your advisor if you would like further details.
