Ryan decided he wanted to go abroad, but instead of just traveling, he also wanted to gain work experience -- and he did it with an international internship!

We’re almost a month into our pioneer Stockholm summer internship program, and it’s a hit! (We knew that it would be, of course).

It’s March 8 and we’re celebrating International Women’s Day here at Global Experiences!

Our company was co-founded by a woman, Emily Merson, and her partner Stephen Reilly in 2001. To date, Global Experiences (GE) has placed over 6,000 students in 11 global cities. More than 75% of the 30 person staff are female, and so are our interns.

This January, Global Experiences united with GoAbroad.com to promote a focused on Women's Leadership, within international education and beyond! GE is a leading International Internship and career readiness provider,  working over 6,000+ students in 11 global cities, in the last 15 years, 75% of them women. Many of our global partners are also organizations owned or managed by women across a wide range of industries from law, to business and social issues.

To celebrate the global emphasis on leadership and women's issues, Global Experiences has announced two Women's Leadership focused scholarships, to encourage the further international education of a US based college student seeking an international internship in summer 2017. 

On Friday, January 20 Global Experiences will co-host a landmark event with GoAbroad.com empowering women in international education to network, learn and recognize that they are a powerful voice in higher education and leadership in general. The event will focus on the importance of encouraging mentorship and leadership between women leaders as we look to the new generation. The evening will include interviews, writing messages to be taken to Washington, sharing highlights of GoAbroad’s cross country journey and what it means for the field.
