We excel at matching each intern with the best employer by learning about you and your expectations of your experience abroad. There is not another group or company that does this as well as Global Experiences.
We do not place you with just any company but rather walk you through a comprehensive consultation to understand your academic background, career objectives, language proficiency (where relevant), and whether you are interested primarily in the cultural travel experience or the professional development opportunity. Getting to know you and understanding all of these variables help us identify the best internship for you that will best serve your needs and expectations.
In Sydney, we work with hundreds of employers covering a broad range of academic and career fields. Once you inquire with us, we learn as much about you and convey the types of placements that are available. We are generally able to let you know in our first contact with you whether you are a good candidate for our program. As we guarantee our internships, we will not accept you into our program unless we are confident we can find a suitable placement for you.

We will work with you to create an effective resume, prepare for an interview (required for many placements), and organize the documentation required to secure your visa. Testimonial: I recently just returned from Sydney and have been slowly readjusting to the United States time schedule. I had a fantastic time in Australia and would recommend this experience to everybody. I was given the opportunity Another potential benefit of this trip is the opportunity to earn a full-time job, as a number of people from the group I went with were offered full-time positions, which they may return and pursue after the holidays. This internship experience is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I believe to be very worthwhile and will benefit anyone greatly. I was able to fulfill my goals on this trip, learn new things, and overcome challenges I faced. I also received lots of independent experience and face fears of being out on your own in a different country. Global experiences places you in a fantastic situation, with a great internship and good living conditions, providing you with all you need to have a great experience, the rest is what you make of it.

Testimonial: "The only reason for me to do this internship was actually that I wanted to improve my English. But once in Sydney, I learned much more. I was lucky to have a very interesting and diversified job and 'real Australian' colleagues, who taught me a lot about the Australian way of life. It was an important experience for furthering my career. Additionally I had enough time to explore this beautiful city with all the other interns. I had a great time in Sydney!!"

Company: Northern Illinois University
Field: Advertising/Marketing/PR
Testimonial: My first time away from home and I was most welcomed by my coworkers. I was weary of the kind of reception I would have being in a foreigner and an intern. The team of seven women welcomed me and took me under their wing for six weeks. Every day was a new challenge and a new experience, and I learned more than I could have ever thought. I was taken to client meetings, allowed to sit in on candidate meetings, and was asked for important feedback in weekly sales meetings.
As an intern you expect a good amount of pointless work and I was given the exact opposite. Belinda the owner and operator of the business made sure that every day I was given a new task and allowed me to experience for myself how a business is truly run. I entered work everyday trying to make an impression and exceed expectations. ICUR was a great company to work for and I was even offered a regular full time job once my studies were completed. I felt more accomplishment in six weeks than I ever had before and the internship program instilled in me a certain confidence. If you are going into any sort of communications field it is IMPERATIVE to have an internship if not two.
Global Experiences gave me this opportunity and I have made many great connections because of it. Up to this point my internship in Sydney has been the greatest adventure of my life and I will return someday!
