Global Experiences offers an award winning career development program for students to earn credit through the University of Utah for an internship abroad. GE has been sending university students abroad for internships since 2001, and has over 6,000 alumni, including fellow Swoops!

Less than 1% of recent graduates have international work experience, while the majority will have two - four domestic internships. An internship abroad helps you stand out to employers and proves you have the skills they're looking for. This program provides the chance to combine living and working abroad with gaining invaluable experience and something impressive to put on your resume.

I got placed at an awesome advertising agency on a marketing role involved in a lot of brand, client, and product research. My internship placement worked out perfectly and Global experiences know what they're doing when they are matching you up to a company. They always make sure you are receiving everything you are looking for so that it turns into a memorable and growing experience.

Another plus was the events that they put on for the interns. We received a welcome party to meet all the interns, multiple day trips, and an exit orientation at the Shard. So how does this work?

There is no better way to gain career experience and travel the world than with an international internship through Global Experiences partnered with the University of Utah.

Opportunities are available across all majors, and can be credit bearing.

University of Utah students can secure up to 12 credit hours. Students must register for HNKLY credit and can additional arrange credit with their respective department (students may intern one semester after graduation, but they must still register for credit).

Summer programs are 8 – 10 weeks and semester programs are 12 – 15 weeks depending on location. Language proficiency is not required and in some non-English speaking locations language courses are part of the program. Students participate in a Career Development Program and are matched individually to an internship approved by the Study Abroad office and relevant faculty.

Milan is a beautiful place to live, explore, and cherish, but what makes it an even better experience is attending the program through Global Experiences. I had a fashion internship while abroad and GE worked to their greatest extent to place me in an environment that catered to my specifications. I learned, grew, and was challenged throughout the summer and ultimately gained new insight on the industry and the detailed components of running your own company. They were not only helpful but they truly care about each an every intern making sure that they are having the best experience possible.
