Going to Dublin for an internship was a thought that remained imaginary for me even after I was accepted. I'm a first generation student from a low socio-economic family, so I constantly had the "this can't happen for me" thought. However, after multiple communicative transactions with the GE crew, I began to think that this adventure was going to happen. I was put into an apartment with great people that I have the honor to call friends, I traveled, I tried new things that took me out of my comfort zone, and I expanded my professional network. I would suggest to everyone reading this to travel while you still have the time!

Starting from day 1 of enrollment, the GE staff has been there for me in every way possible to ensure I had a placement that I would enjoy. And I did! I loved the company I got placed in and working with my bosses. Over the transition period when we moved into Spain and throughout the summer as a whole, the GE program advisors in Barcelona have gone above and beyond in making certain that everyone has a smooth adaptation period and a great summer. International Internship opportunities are available to Texas Tech University students across all majors, and can be credit-bearing.
Summer programs are 8 weeks and semester programs are 12 weeks. View all program dates here.
Language proficiency is not required and in some non-English speaking locations language courses are part of the program. Students participate in a Career Development Program and are matched individually to an internship approved by TTU and relevant faculty.
