Want to get credit for interning abroad?

Have you ever thought about studying abroad? Briefly looked into it but didn’t think it could fit into your life? Are you focused on your career opportunities and making yourself more presentable after graduation? Combine both a study abroad experience and an international internship and stand out in ways hundreds of thousands of other university students cannot.

Through a unique partnership between Michigan State and Global Experiences, you can pursue an internship abroad all while getting credit towards your degree. Take a step out of Michigan and explore a new culture, live on your own in a brand new city, and gain experience that cannot be found behind the classroom walls. Only 1% of college graduates have international working experience, make yourself part of that 1%.

Ready to set yourself apart for future employers looking for candidates with international experience? Take study abroad to the next level and consider a full-time internship abroad in one of our 11 cities around the world.

Opportunities are available to students across all majors, and can be credit bearing.

Summer programs are 8 – 10 weeks and semester programs are 12 – 15 weeks depending on location. Language proficiency is not required and in non-English speaking locations language courses are part of the program. Students participate in a Career Development Program and are matched individually to an internship approved by the Study Abroad office and relevant faculty.
