IT/Coding for Historical and Political Project
This internship placement is with a documentary editing project located on the George Washington University campus. The project collects, accessions, transcribes, and annotates material written by and to a historical figure relating to their post-political life. Volumes I and II, which cover 1945-1952, have already been completed and Volume III is underway. In addition, the project’s website is being expanded, and project staff are engaged in outreach to students, teachers, scholars, and policymakers. Interns will perform research and assist with website development. Specific tasks will depend on the intern's interests and qualifications and the there is room for customization.
