So what exactly is Intentionally Designed Experiential Education Programming?

Janissa is a junior at Missouri State University. She is studying fashion business, and this summer she is working in the beautiful city of Florence! The designer for which she works is high-end, personable, and fashion forward.

In June when I arrived in Dublin and started my internship abroad, I started to slowly learn the differences between Irish and American work culture. A typical work day starts between 9-10 for everyone in the office I work in. However the atmosphere is more laid back so no one is really watching the clock for when anyone comes in. Everyone ends their work days at 5:30, unless there’s a Euro game going on, then the office clears out much earlier.

Claire, a Texas A&M student, had the time of her life in a summer internship in Paris, France. As an intern Claire had an important role on the Film / Video production team in the City of Lights. Let’s take a peek into the experience of a young professional Aggie abroad.

In my line of work in Australia the big deal is going "on country". We are a law firm that works with Aboriginal groups to gain native title over their land. Native title doesn't give the group ownership rights, but it does give them the right to negotiate with mining companies and the State. The groups can negotiate issues of cultural heritage and royalties from mining operations, to name a few.

GE Intern Jenna Hecker caught up with Italy program alum Cassandra Santoro about how her past, present, and future, have been impacted by her international internship.

Allie is a rising senior at Ashland University in Ohio.  Allie is interning in Barcelona this summer with an organization that helps other NGOs market and promote their cause while gaining funding to implement change.  A month into her program, she had the following to share with us.
