Emily H. indulged in the city’s lifestyle and became a Florentine in no time during her internship in Florence, Italy.

For many people around the world, Paris is an iconic city of romance, passion, elegance, and beauty.

Our interns arrive with bright eyes and big dreams, and Natalie C., a student at the University of Michigan, was no exception:

“For me, it’s always been Paris. As a little girl, I was twirling around in my ballet classes and reciting French phrases to my dance teacher. Growing up, I had Eiffel Tower posters up all over my room. In high school, I fell in love with the French language and my class trip to Quebec firmly cemented a dream to see Paris for myself.”

Her dream came true this past summer when she landed an internship in event management in Paris, France!

A major life decision is not something that happens overnight, especially not a career change.

Jill decided to grab life by the horns and left her career in the medical field to pursue her options in the business world. She joined our intern abroad program in Florence, Italy this Fall 2019, landed a full-time internship in marketing, and hasn’t looked back!

As she finished her junior year at Temple University, Caroline knew she wanted to broaden her professional horizons through an international internship.

Passionate about her majors in Media Studies & Production and Environmental Studies, Caroline was looking for an opportunity to focus on creative media production and communication, while also educating herself and others on environmental and social justice issues.

With previous experience volunteering, podcasting, conducting documentary work, and other leadership opportunities, she knew an internship in San José was the perfect next step to advance her career.

In Italy, there’s a quaint little town that evolved into a jewel of a city through the centuries. This jewel would transfigure itself into the heart of a movement, a movement of art and ideas known as the Italian Renaissance.

Jessica T., an intern from the University of British Columbia in Canada, would find herself drawn to the spark of artistic creation and work among cathedrals, sculptures, and paintings that Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Brunelleschi crafted. There’s a reason New York City is known as the city that never sleeps and the city that makes dreams come true. For Lindsey G., a student at Humber College in Toronto, Canada and a public relations intern, she found all of that to be true and more.  NYC in the springtime was the only place Lindsey wanted to be.

Rachel Y. is a graduating senior at Salisbury University majoring in human communications. This spring, she made the journey to Dublin, Ireland, to intern in her field at the same time as completing her thesis in intercultural communications.

London is more than just a city, its a place where dreams come true and life is lived to the fullest. Allison W. is currently completing her internship in London and discovering why so many interns become enthralled with the capital of England.

During her internship, the Mercy College student has lived like a local, learned professional skills, blogged about her travels, and so much more. Read below all about Allison’s experience as an international intern in London.  

A recent report by the World Economic Forum suggests that over the next four years 75 million current jobs may be replaced by machine. However, that doesn’t mean that there won’t be more opportunities. In that same report, the WEF predicted that over 130 million jobs could be created over that same period of time.

What happens when you travel to Barcelona with your family and fall completely in love with the city? You decide to intern there and call it your home for a few months! At least that’s what Heather G. did the summer before her senior year at Carnegie Mellon University.

Heather, a behavioral economics and psych major, hopped back on a plane and completed a marketing internship in Barcelona, Spain.
