Words From The Intern | Taking in London

Big Ben > Washington Monument

Just when I thought nothing could get better than a DC midnight monument tour, I walked along Westminster at night. Parliament and the Big Ben has to be the most amazing building ever. I did not realize how beautiful and intricate it was until I saw them in the middle of a London.

With that being said, I have passed that area about 10 times since being in London and have never admired it as much as I did this time. But then it became clear to me, I haven’t been walking around London just exploring, I have been trying to take pictures and document my whole trip. In theory that sounds like the right idea, but in all actuality, by doing this you forget to take in the experience and only look at places through the lens of your camera. If that is all you wanted to do, then why not just Google image various places or live vicariously through someone else’s trip photos?  I am lucky that I discovered this so early in my ventures and before I made other trips through Europe, but I don’t want you to loose a week of your trip by making such a silly mistake!
