Each program participant will receive full time intensive Italian language training at our language school in Florence, which is authorized by the Italian Ministry of Education to teach Italian language and culture to foreign students, is a member of The Association of Schools of Italian as Second Language (ASILS), and hosts international students from over 50 different countries each year. Program participants will enjoy studying in this centrally located 3 level palazzo complete with private study rooms, student lounge, internet service and a garden.

Included in the program are 20 group lessons plus 2 individual lessons per week. Classes meet Monday through Friday. There are 10 course levels ranging from absolute beginner to advanced, and all classes are instructed in group settings of no more than 12 students per class. You will be placed into the class that best suits your abilities in Italian based on a simple test given when you first arrive.

The best method of learning a foreign language is through immersion. When you study Italian in Italy you can expect that all classes will be conducted only in Italian. If you have any problems with the topics covered in class and need extra help please make sure you speak to your teacher.

Your accommodation will be in a single bedroom in a shared apartment located in the residential areas of Florence. Most apartments have three bedrooms, and you will share a bathroom and kitchen. The apartments are either within walking distance or require a short bus ride to the school. You will share the apartments with other students from our language school.

Exact details of the apartment will be sent to you a minimum of 2 weeks before you arrive. You accommodation will be available on the Sunday before the program start date.
