High School Eco Adventure – Ecuador (July 10-24, 2010)

Take education to the extreme this summer with our Eco Adventure Experience in Ecuador. This experience, designed for 15-18 year olds, combines service learning and volunteering as well as once in a life time opportunity to explore the Galapagos Islands and one of the most diverse countries in the world. The food, culture, sights, people and history will fill all of your senses and make this one summer you will never forget. Who knew education could be so fun?

What is the Program?

Global Experiences has been offering customized trips to high schools for the past 5 year and now we are offering it to individuals in high school students interested in making the most from their summer and making a difference in the world.

The program is all inclusive and includes food, travel and flights to Ecuador from Miami, FL. The group will meet in Miami on July 10th and there will be group orientations and information sessions. The next day we will embark on our adventure packed journey through Ecuador’s major ecosystems including the Amazon, Andes, and Galapagos. The group will be chaperoned by experienced education professionals from the US and local expert guides in Ecuador that will impart their love of travel and adventure.

Program Highlights

• Several days of touring the Galapagos on a private chartered boat!
• Volunteer on a Reforestation Project in the Amazon Rainforest
• Visit and volunteer with the El Arace Animal Rescue Center
• White Water Rafting down the Napo River
• Horseback riding in the Andean Highlands at Cotopaxi National Park
• Visit to the equator's Middle of the World museum
• Private boat tour to Isabella Island, Sierra Negra Volcano, Wall of Tears, and Swimming and Trek to Tortuga Bay in Galapagos!

Program Fees and Dates

The total program fee is $4190 USD. The dates for the program are July 10 to July 24, 2010.
