24 Hour Point of Contact
From the point of inquiry to the completion of a program, Global Experiences is committed to providing constant access to a representative from our organization, at home and abroad. With staff on the ground in each of our program locations, we will ensure easy access to our program coordinators as well as our administrative staff headquartered in the U.S. We are dedicated to providing quick, honest information regarding any aspect of our programs and will work directly with each participant to ensure a safe, healthy, and rewarding experience. Should you have any questions or concerns throughout your program experience, we maintain an 'open door' policy at each of our locations so participants, parents, academic advisors, or other parties have a point of contact throughout the program.
Predeparture Information Pack
Understanding as much about a place, the culture, the language and other relevant information is important prior to traveling abroad. We provide each of our program participants with a predeparture package of information relevant to the participant's program location. We attempt to provide as much relevant information as possible, including background information, cultural awareness, introduction to the language where applicable, tips on safety, suggested readings, what to bring, what to wear, and other useful information that will better prepare you to travel abroad. For some programs, we also include a Lonely Planet® guidebook, a Global Experiences T-shirt, and a couple other extras.
Onsite Welcome & Orientation
Upon arrival at the program location, participants are greeted by our local staff and officially welcomed to the program. Our staff will make sure each participant gets settled into their accommodation and they have the basics for 'moving in' and beginning their program. Relevant information will be provided regarding locations of language training facilities, internship company placement locations, tour meeting areas, and other pertinent information as it applies to your program.
Access to Onsite & Admin Team
Global Experiences provides access to its team members through its local offices and administrative staff based in the U.S. With years of travel and study abroad experience, coupled with solid global partner organizations, the Global Experiences team is comprised of seasoned travelers, academics and truly passionate members dedicated to facilitating the most interesting and rewarding international programs with purpose available in the world today. Our onsite staff in most locations are locals to the country and therefore have extraordinary insight to the culture, the language, the cities, and of course, the 'where to go' and 'what to do' information that will make your experience more complete and true to the local culture.
Travel Insurance
Global Experiences includes travel insurance for each one of our participants. Through our special relationship with AIG Travel Guard, a leading provider of travel insurance, we are able to provide you a standard level of coverage at no extra cost along with an option to add-on additional coverage.
