Accounting | Accounting roles may vary dramatically based on the location, and type of accounting role. Many placements will allow interns to obtain firsthand experience in the accounting field in a new country, getting to experience the different standards and measurements of the field. While the two general tracks are financial and managerial accounting, tasks may include creating invoices and processing payments, reconciling bank statements, preparing sales tax returns, bookkeeping, audits, analysis, and research. Business | Business! It is a hugely diverse field, incorporating many subcategories into one. Roles are diverse and are tailored to an intern's background and future goals. Tasks could include client relations, accounts administration, and database maintenance. It may also include compiling financial projections, filing & photocopying of office documents. Communications (TV/Radio) | Communications is another diverse field, with placements including TV Studios, Film Companies, Radio Stations, and new age marketing agencies.
