May Photo Contest Winner!

Sydney's Stunning Skyline” by Dan Lawless (Wentworth Institute of Technology)

Dan took this amazing shot during his 12-week Information Technology internship in Sydney, Australia. He was able to gain hands-on IT experience with an environmental organization, but we think he may have a future in photography as well!

Photo Caption: “Roaming around the city, exploring what it has to offer, and running into Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and the skyline at night…. beautiful!”

January Contest Winner

David Lovejoy, won our first photo contest with Scooter Blues, taken during his TEFL Immersion Program in Rome.

Photo Caption: "Judging from the old architectural facade covered in graffiti, to the bars on the window keeping out would-be trespassers, you might think this is an "unsafe" place to be. But the new scooter left unattended and unscathed would tell you otherwise, there is balance. Living in the midst of three thousand years' worth of history and culture is a concept this American suburbanite could not quite grasp while residing inside the familiar borders of his motherland.

However, in wandering aimlessly and alone through the streets of this relatively ancient ghetto, I felt more at home than I did at home. I gradually came to the realization that the Italians, particularly those in the south, know not only what life is about, but how to enjoy it and make the most of it. Rather than trying to separate the good from the bad, they take it all in and trust in the human spirit. I admire that, and I am grateful that I was fortunate enough to participate in this immersion program, for it truly broadened my perspective."

Submit your photos and you could be the next winner!
