This placement is a great way to immerse oneself in the Italian art scene. Tasks during the internship placement may include assisting with the creation, promotion, and implementation of exhibitions, planning and organizing special events, utilizing public relations and computer skills, researching and writing relevant art articles, helping with inventory and cataloging works and communicating with artists and clients. Other tasks will include daily administrative and management assistance to assist staff and continuing operations of the establishment.

Intern in an Urban Museum

A free, family and community-focussed museum with designated collections in anthropology, musical instruments and natural history. They also have an aquarium, 16 acres of gardens, a library and an education centre with a large handling collection. Placement students may be working in one of a variety of areas, including learning, collections management, the library, exhibitions and volunteer management. Interns will be in a generalist role working with archives and helping the volunteer coordinator in museum operations.

This gallery represents and exhibits cutting edge, stimulating works by established contemporary Chinese artists as well as emerging contemporary Chinese artists who are not as yet "discovered" internationally. With close to 2,000 square feet of gallery space, this beautiful gallery overlooking the River Thames is London’s only Chinese contemporary art gallery with a permanent exhibition space of this size and scale. Interns selected for this placement intern will work directly with the gallery manager and client developer, learning everything about running a gallery.
